"Himanshu Bansal leads the Asia Pacific market for Community Pass, Mastercard’s Social Impact enterprise, part of Strategic Growth. He drives Mastercard’s digital inclusion initiatives, focussed on digitising the rural ecosystem through the Mastercard Farm Pass platform and offline payment solutions. Farm Pass serves 1M farmers and rural consumers in India, and 3M globally.

Himanshu is a financial sector strategist, with passion for designing and implementing unconventional solutions to assist his partners and customers. Before joining Mastercard, Himanshu led the Financial services and Financial Inclusion verticals for several management consulting firms, and has advised Boards and CXOs of more than 50 varied financial Institutions across South Asia, Middle East, Africa and S.E.Asia. He is an ex-banker from Citi, where he managed various business clusters and products, prior to consulting

Himanshu holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Delhi and a master's degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
