KEY PROJECTS: THOUGHT TO DELIVERY

KUTUMBA – THE SOCIAL REGISTRY OF KARNATAKA
The most comprehensive dynamic self updating registry of 1.75 crore families and about 5.5 crore citizens of Karnataka. The registry is being used for suo moto delivery of services and benefits to citizens. Govt of India is planning to create similar registries for all states

FRUITS – FARMERS DATABASE
The most comprehensive database of 75 lakh farmers in Karnataka with relevant attributes. The database is used by all agriculture and allied departments in Karnataka. Government of India intends to replicate this model elsewhere in the country.

E-SAHAMATI - THE CONSENT FRAMEWORK
The framework is based on DEPA framework of NITI Ayog. This is a digital public good which is open to use by all States. Data Principals should be able to store their data to registered (on e-Sahamati) policies.

GIS/GPS MOBILE BASED CROP SURVEY IN KARNATAKA
Captured about 15 million agriculture plots crop data along with GPS coordinates photograph of the crop and Aadhaar details with mobile number. This data would immensely help for various agricultural related interventions by State Government like Crop Insurance, Minimum Support Price, updating land records etc.

SAMRAKSHANE – ONLINE CROP INSURANCE PORTAL
Enrolment of farmers by connecting to the land records system (Bhoomi) and Aadhaar. It also connects to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre for fetching weather data. The weather data is used for processing of claims in respect of weather based crop insurance scheme (WBCIS). All the process starting from enrolment to claims settlement is fully automated.

BHOOMI – 200 LAKHS LAND RECORDS OF 70 LAKH FARMERS
He worked on this project for full 14 years from 1998 to 2012. The IT system was adopted as a national model, is now fully connected system with registration department, survey department, Banks and Land Acquisition bodies and is lifeline of Karnataka economy.
